Thomas Gamal

Medical Science Student | Clinical Shadowing | Community Service

Driven by a lifelong passion for medicine and a simple goal: helping people when they need it most.

About Me

Medicine has always felt like more than a career path — it is a way to make a real difference in people's lives. As a senior at Freehold High School and a member of the Class of 2027, my high school years have been shaped by a four-year Medical Science Program, hands-on clinical shadowing, and hundreds of hours spent serving others.

Time in the ICU and the operating room at Hackensack Meridian Health showed me what modern medicine looks like up close. Time at an adult day care center taught me that care also means patience, kindness, and simply being there for someone. Both experiences continue to shape a future in medicine.

Outside the classroom, my time goes to fundraising for children with cancer, competing in DECA and Math League, training as a long-distance runner, and helping build a family nonprofit focused on community service.
